Staying at Altitude
All of us here at Altitude – The Lodge Smiggins were both relieved and excited to be able to open our doors for the 2020 snow season! The impact of COVID was significant but the team was able to create a safe, friendly and happy environment for our guest “family”.
The safety of our guests and staff remains of upmost importance to us, so we will continue to follow all public health and safety advice from state and federal governments along with other authorities, up until the point that COVID-19 is no longer a threat.
In 2021 circumstances may not fully return to “normal”, both on mountain and here at the lodge, but we’re eager to welcome our guests back and to continue to provide you with our signature lodge experience.
All rooms at Altitude have a private en-suite bathroom. The bathrooms have all undergone complete refurbishment and most rooms have new storage and bedding. There are 9 guest rooms downstairs and 11 upstairs all located in the north wing of the building. Rooms can accommodate between 2 and 5 guests, in a variety of bedding configurations. All guest rooms are non-smoking, as are the dining room, bar and all public areas. Children aged 3-14 years inclusive are welcome at Altitude. The Adult tariff applies to guests aged 15 and older. We don’t accommodate children under 3 years.
Booking Conditions
- Deposit payments: A 30% deposit payment is required to secure your booking
- Balance payments: The full balance is due 60 days before arrival.

Rates & Additional Charges
- Peak Festival: June Long Weekend is bed and breakfast only; dinner is not included.
- Changeover fee: A one-off $60 fee per room applies to all bookings.
- Single supplement: A 50% supplement applies to single occupancy at all times.
Children & Family Rates
- Kids stay free: Children aged 3–14 stay free in Fringe and Value seasons, and children aged 0-14 stay free in Family Week. Breakfast and dinner are charged at $65 per child, per night. At least one paying adult is required in each room.
- Minimum age: Children must be at least 3 years old (subject to toilet training), except during Family Week.
- Meal upgrade: Children aged 12–14 can upgrade to adult meals for $50 per child, per night.
Parking
- Limited parking: Only 7 spaces are available; parking must be pre-booked and pre-paid at $75 per vehicle, per night. Conditions apply; allocated parking may be elsewhere in Smiggin Holes.
Room Configuration & Occupancy
- Standard Family: Only two rooms are available. Maximum occupancy is 5 guests (2 adults and 3 children). Best suited to younger children, preferably aged 12 and under. Not recommended for three children aged 12–14; not suitable for 5 adults.
- Standard Twin: Only one room is available, with two single beds only.

- Dietary needs: Guests must advise of any special dietary requirements before arrival.
